FAQs

Hi folks! Times are crazy now but we are moving forward with our wedding plans as best as possible! Here are a few FAQ's for your help...and maybe answers to some questions that aren't exactly the "norm." If you have any other questions or just want to say "hi," feel free to give me a call at: 907-388-4124 or e-mail me at: dstanley2188@gmail.com.
Question

IS there TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE HOTELS TO THE SERVICE and reception?

Answer

No, but Anchorage has many transportation services including several taxi companies, Uber, and Lyft.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If you received two RSVP cards then yes! However, if not then please come on your own as space in the Chapel is limited.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in a smaller Catholic chapel so please dress conservatively. However, the reception starting at 5:00 will be more of a picnic with games and delicious Hawaiian bbq. Therefore comfortable but conservative clothes would be a good idea. There will be about two hours between the ceremony and the reception so if you want to wear formal attire to the ceremony and then change into your picnic clothes go for it!

Question

How is COVID-19 affecting Alaska?

Answer

As a state we have not been hit as hard as other places, but there are cases up here and some protective measures taking place. As of 06/05/2020 restaurants and entertainment places are able to open up for limited capacity (25%). Therefore, many places require a reservation ahead of time and some places are choosing not to open yet. There is a 2 week quarantine in effect for all those traveling out of state, however, it is not being enforced. Travelers into Alaska are being asked to come in with a Covid-19 test stating they are negative of the disease within 72 hours of traveling or you can choose to be tested at the airport. If neither of these options are chosen then travelers are asked to self quarantine for 2 weeks. For up to date information please go to the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services: http://dhss.alaska.gov/dph/Epi/id/Pages/COVID-19/default.aspx

Question

How is COVID-19 affecting your wedding?

Answer

As of right now we are moving forward as normal as possible. Those who are able to attend the ceremony are being asked to wear a mask and sanitize your seat before and after the ceremony (sanitizing wipes will be provided). Guests are also being asked to sit 6 feet apart from others who are not part of the same household. At the reception we will have games outside where it will be easier to keep social distancing and food will be inside. If you don't feel comfortable coming to the ceremony or reception we completely understand. Please call or e-mail me at the information listed above if you have a change of plans.
