Originally, David and I had both worked out at CrossFit Squad in West Palm Beach, FL and even though our friend Jeff tried to play matchmaker and introduce us twice, we didn't finally connect until December 8, 2023. I moved away to Aventura, FL for work but decided to come back and support my friends at a local CrossFit competition where I saw David competing with a mutual friend. He caught my eye and I was immediately interested. I started asking my friends who he was and found out we had been going to the same gym while I still lived in West Palm but never knew. Later that night, we both attended the same Christmas party at the gym, played cornhole, went bar hopping downtown and hit it off! Despite the initial connection we both sensed that the timing wasn't quite right due to personal and financial challenges, so we parted ways a few weeks later. But fate had other plans. Three months later, in April, I found myself back at CrossFit Squad, and David came right up to me and asked how I've been. We ended up partnering for a workout with Jeff, and even though I flew off the rig trying to do pullups, he still invited me to hang out with them so we spent the rest of the weekend together. From that point on, we were absolutely inseparable.
