September 18th 2018 began like every Saturday did at the University of Delaware - day drinking at a frat party. I had the time of my life hanging out with friends and enjoying every last bit of summer. After getting home, my roommates convinced me to continue the party and go out at night to the local bars. If you knew me in college, this was a rare occassion. My roommates and I went to the infamous Grottos down the street. I remember walking in and it being pretty empty. As I was hanging out drinking H2Ls (if you know, you know), I saw a ~handsome~ guy standing by the bar and watching a game. I turned to my friends and said “That guy at the bar is so cute” to which my friend Talia naturally responds “Go talk to him!” I laughed. She decided to take matters into her own hands and went over to him and somehow brought him over to our group. About 2 minutes in, he and I were locked into getting to know each other. I was wildly impressed by his service in the Marines (and his tattoos). At some point, he says he has to use the bathroom and I turn my friends and go “He’s not coming back” However, he came right back and we continued chatting. It came so naturally. A few days later, he invited me to lunch at a Mexican spot between my classes, and from there, things just got better and better. And that’s how our story began :)

It was the fall of 18’ at UD and I was out meeting my friend for his birthday when a girl tapped me on the shoulder asking “what were you doing?” I said “at the bar” (what a response lol). She asked if I wanted to talk to her friends, said yes, grilled up by 7 girls, and after knowing I wasn’t a creep introduced me to Danielle. From that point on it was so easy talking to her. She was really shy at first, however, her pockets were not that night. She was buying me drink after drink of Grotto’s H2Ls, and by the time the night was over I was feeling loose. Anyway, we were talking and I made up a lie that I had some roommates (my parents) at this apartment (my parents house) and I couldn’t go back because I couldn’t drive (Uber existed) so that I could basically leave with her. From that night on it was like I met my best friend.
