Ready to celebrate? Us too!

It was senior year at Louisiana State University. Danielle's roommate was dating DJ's roommate. This led to many tailgates and gamedays spent together. After LSU won the season opener, the group of friends started their trek from Tiger Stadium to Tigerland. The line at Fred's, their favorite bar, was wrapped around the parking lot. Danielle and DJ decided to switch paths to Bud's Broiler instead. They talked for what felt like hours over burgers and cheese fries. After this night, the pair were found together at sorority events, barbeques, and on every Louisiana Saturday Night. Fast forward to the 8th game of the season, and DJ asked Danielle to be his girlfriend. The rest is history.

Danielle's family planned a beach trip to Gulf Shores for Labor Day weekend of 2022. Little did she know that DJ was planning an event of his own for this weekend. Thinking they were taking family pictures, they walked down to the beach and she was greeted with a setting of rose petals and champagne. In the midst of Danielle's shock, the Cannon family ran out from behind beach chairs and umbrellas to surprise her even more! DJ got down on one knee and Danielle said YES, OF COURSE in between sobs of happy tears. Shouts of congratulations were heard from the beach and balconies above. The two families were treated with a round of drinks from the Florabama and celebrated all weekend long!
