It was fate for Cynthia and David to meet during their undergrad years. “How did someone from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and going to school in PA meet someone from New York?” you might ask. It was how most individuals met their significant others in undergrad - through a social function (aka party). Cynthia and David both didn’t drink so they kind of hit it off from there. As the party came to an end, David decided to shoot his shot and left his number on a small dry erase board outside of Cynthia’s door. Although the number was not put into use right away, David and Cynthia occasionally shared some Facebook pokes and played Words with Friends. During the summer of 2012, Cynthia and a friend visited NYC and hung out with friends they met through undergrad with one being David. When summer came to an end, David and Cynthia started talking on the phone more and eventually moved their relationship to Oovoo. These conversations started off small and eventually became movie nights where they spent quite some time trying to synchronize their play buttons (where was share screen back then?). That Fall, David asked Cynthia to spend New Years Eve in New York. Little did Cynthia know, she was about to meet some important people in his life - David’s parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins (over 20+ people). After an eventful night and after it hit 12 am on New Year’s Day, David asked Cynthia be to his girlfriend and the rest is history.
