We first met in Orlando on a summer project with our college ministry. Over the next 3 years we became closer friends and feelings began to develop. In January 2017 we found out we would be working together over the summer, and also decided to run a marathon in the fall. As we prepared for the summer and found out we were partnered together, we began to talk to each other regularly. Throughout the summer we got to know each other better and both developed stronger feelings for each other.

At the end of the summer, we revealed that we had feelings for each other. However, it wasn't until the end of the month that we actually went on our first date. We went on multiple dates before becoming official on September 9th. As we dated, our lives naturally came closer together and we grew to love one another.

We went back to Greenville, South Carolina, where it all began in January 2017. We went to lunch downtown and took a walk, and I proposed on the bridge in Falls Park with my sister taking pictures in the bushes. We spent the day with friends and family at my sister's house and I told everyone the story of how it happened. Since then we've been planning for and eagerly anticipating our wedding!
