We're getting married!

David and Caroline met at UW Milwaukee at a party at Caroline's house. David was invited to the party through a mutual friend (shout out to bridesmaid Lauren who was Caroline's roommate, David's classmate, and the friend/reason we are all here today!) We hit it off but didn't reconnect until about one year later when we exchanged numbers. After talking a bit David asked Caroline out on a date. He picked her up for the date and we went out for tacos and margaritas. We connected instantly and continued the night getting drinks at a local dive bar or two, where again bridesmaid Lauren met us out. Our two friend groups quickly become one as we got to know each other better. The rest is history and we are so happy to be here today, 5 years later!

David proposed to Caroline right outside their first apartment together, on the Milwaukee river walk. It was a rainy April day and we were going to go out to dinner to celebrate Caroline's birthday at our favorite Italian spot downtown. The rain had just cleared and the sun came out when we were about to be on our way to the reservation (which David had told Caroline was couple hours earlier than it really was). David stopped us outside on the dock as we exited our apartment on got down on a knee. Caroline was 100% surprised, and David's sister and bridesmaid Keirstin was hiding out there to get photos of the proposal!
