David’s family moved to Murfreesboro the summer before the start of our Junior year. We had a very small class of 10 and it was rumor we were getting a new kid in our class, which was a big deal for us. Everyone said he was a redneck and had a mullet. Yes he had a mullet, but redneck was a little far fetched. The first few days of class David was really quiet, to be fair he wasn’t happy to be in a new town full of new people having to start over. Our class was like a family since there was only 10 of us so we did a lot of stuff together. David, Caleb and I would ride around and hangout. We eventually ended up going to our friend Ciara’s house a few times to ride four wheelers and watch movies. One of those nights was the night that changed it all. It’s funny because David and I both talked about how we weren’t really looking to date anyone when things started between us. He was ready to get back to Martin, and I was just content at the moment and wasn’t really looking to find anyone. God had other plans. David gave me his jacket on one of those cold nights we were watching a movie with the outside projector and when we were leaving to go home he opened the truck door for me, and that was it, I was in love. After that night things just fell into place and since then, David and I have been inseparable, and still are. David and I started dating on Oct 8, 2020 and he gave me a promise ring on July 7, 2021. We attended the rest of high school together and graduated on June 3, 2022. We started college together at Pitt Community College that August. There was very little time we spent apart during those two years. While away at college we started a little family with our fur baby Willow. We made our way back to the big town of Cofield after we both completed some college. On May 31, 2024 David proposed on what is now the front porch of our forever home. We can’t wait to see where this life we have started together takes us. We can’t thank God enough for putting us in each other’s lives at the perfect time.
