Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio
Our favorite restaurant in Chicago, where we go to celebrate every special occasion. Located right on the first floor of our venue space, we recommend making a reservation roughly a month in advance if you are planning to visit! Widely considered one of the best modern Italian restaurants in Chicago, it is also home to Top Chef finalist Bailey Sullivan who is often seen at the pasta bar. Brittany is obsessed with Oma's Green Mountain Salad and their wilted escarole.
Trivoli Tavern
Cozy, American tavern a few blocks away from our venue. David says their Sticky Date Cake is the best dessert he has had in Chicago. Also has great brunch! Reservations recommended.
Lemon Tree
If you really want to make Brittany's day, please visit the Lemon Tree sculpture in Lincoln Park and send her a photo of you with it. It is both fun to take a photo with and was designed as a statement about the negative environmental impacts of climate change. Double fun!
Lincoln Park Zoo
This free zoo is open everyday and is located in the gorgeous Lincoln Park! A great way to spend a free afternoon.
Lincoln Park Conservatory
A large greenhouse in Lincoln Park with many beautiful exotic plant varieties. It is free to tour, with tickets reserved in advance. We also love the nearby Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool.
The Second City
See a show at the famous sketch comedy and improv theater. Training grounds of famous comedians such as Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Bill Murray, Martin Short and many others.
Architecture Boat Tour
Enjoy a cruise on the Chicago river while hearing about the city's famous architecture. Many different options and routes available!
