We LOVE your kids! Unfortunately, our guest list is pretty small, with a maximum headcount that is dictated by the venue, which is tied to the number of seats at the reception dinner tables. Because of that, we are unable to seat children at the main tables during the meal portion of the wedding. Because of this, the wedding event itself is likely to be more of an adult soirée. That said, to work around the headcount issue, we are trying to set up a special area for kids, next to the main reception area, with a babysitter and kids menu. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are inclined to bring your children to the wedding, as space is limited. Kids are welcome to join for the Friday night gathering at Woodstock Brewery and the Sunday brunch at our home, as well.
A lot of food will be vegan and vegetarian. We will offer some fish and seafood options, as well.
We would love it, but of course not. If you can only make the wedding on Saturday, that's great. Please let us know if you definitely will not be joining us on Friday and/or Sunday, so that we have an accurate headcount for those events. If you are joining us on Sunday, and if you are pool-inclined, please feel free to pack a swimsuit!
Whatever you want! FYI: There are some very snazzy dressers on this guest list. Just saying. Temperatures are typically pretty warm end of June but you might want to consider a light jacket/sweater since we will be outside until late into the evening.
We will be providing shuttle service to and from the wedding venue. Please stay tuned for more information about schedules.
Great! We have a lot of recommendations about what to do. Please check out the things to do section for some ideas and feel free to reach out to us if you want more suggestions.
There certainly are! Check with David for more info.
There are a few ways to do this. You could either rent a car (cars at Newark are typically cheaper than JFK/LGA) and then drive up. Depending on when you land, it's between 2 and 2.5 hours from any of the NYC airports. If you don't need a car, we would suggest flying into Newark, taking the airtrain to Penn Station in NYC and catching an Amtrak up to Rhinecliff (about 30 min scenic drive from the train station to Woodstock). Or, you could head to Port Authority in NYC and take a Trailways Bus up to Kingston/Woodstock. There are also car rentals in Kingston, NY and Rhinebeck so check with the rental agencies to see if they can get you from the train/bus stations to the agencies. Uber/Lyft is up here but it's not reliable. Finally, you could also look into flights that arrive in Albany or Stewart, both of which are between 45 min-1 hour away and both have rental cars.
