Flight
PVR has non-stop flights on Delta, American Airlines, Jet Blue, and other airlines. We recommend booking airfare sooner rather than later as airfare will likely get more expensive as the wedding date gets closer! BE SURE TO CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR PASSPORT! You will not be able to fly if your passport expires within 6 months of your flight (this includes your flight home as well). If your passport will be expiring, start the renewal process sooner rather than later as this can take a few months to complete.
House Or Rental
We will be hosting the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as the pool party on Sunday, at Villa La Mansion. This is also where we will both be staying, along with a few of our closest friends.
Travel Note
Uber is very reliable in PV. Be sure to download the app prior to landing. Also, be sure to activate your cell phone carrier's international plan to ensure cell phone service!
Travel Note
Additional option for transportation to and from the airport, as well to and from the wedding events. This company also offers adventure tours, boat outings, wildlife tours, sightseeing and other fun experiences.
Hotel
This property is a 5-minute walk from the wedding venue and the recommended lodging by the property manager.
House Or Rental
Both Airbnb and VRBO offer many options for accommodations. You can choose to stay closer to the wedding venue or closer to the old city (Zona Romantica). This is a popular time for visiting this destination, so we recommend if you wish to use Airbnb, to book sooner rather than later. These are your best options if you're looking for a more private space to retreat. Most options are going to be privately owned condos/apartments. Also, another great local option for booking vacation rentals is PVRPV: https://www.pvrpv.com
Travel Note
Remember, Pesos are the form of currency in Mexico. When selecting an ATM, choose one located at or affiliated with a bank. ATMs in PV will charge a fee (a reasonable fee is something less than 35 pesos). Make sure to select MXN pesos to withdraw (not USD). Be sure to decline the conversion rate on the screen to avoid being double charged with fees. We would not recommend exchanging USD for pesos at the airport - the exchange rates are not good. While most restaurants and bars accept credit cards (Visa and Mastercard - Amex is less accepted), many cafes and local markets are cash only. Please note that if your credit card does not waive foreign transaction fees, there will be a charge added to each transaction that can add up over time.
