Beech Bend is a local amusement and water park. Cool down in the August heat with water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. Or pop over for some thrills including the Kentucky Rumbler coaster. We had a blast on our last trip here!

Crystal Onyx Cave is the perfect intersection of nature and kitsch. Here you’re as likely to see an alien or dinosaur as you are a stalactite. We totally recommend one of the tours at this local, off the beaten path attraction.

Chaney’s has the most delicious homemade ice cream! Or swing through for lunch as it’s also a sandwich spot and is set on a working dairy farm. Best the heat with a sweet treat here!
National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum showcases the Chevrolet Corvette, a classic American sports car that’s been around since 1953. If you’re a motorhead, come see some incredible cars. Or witness the location where a sinkhole opened up in the museum in 2014 eating eight cars from the museum's multimillion dollar collection!

For art and nature fans, Baker Arboretum & Downing Museum is the place for you. See the works of Joseph Dudley Downing, a Kentucky son who journeyed to France creating art and sculpture from the 40s into the new century. Or take a peaceful hike through the beautiful Kentucky landscape.
