We're Getting Married!

It all began back in 2010 (hard to believe it’s been 15 years already!) when our connection first formed at Canfield High School. Through choir, I became friends with Kyle Bassett, one of Dave’s close friends, and he suggested that Dave introduce himself to me. Eventually, Dave worked up the courage to message me on Facebook, and from that very first conversation, it was clear we were meant to know each other in some way. We quickly became close friends, and not long after, I asked Dave to the Sweethearts dance. From then on, we spent so much time together—often joined by my little sister, Heather—completely unaware that life had bigger plans for us. After high school, we headed off to different colleges but remained in close contact. Dave was interested in getting to know me more, but he always respected my choices and supported me no matter what. His kindness and patience showed me the depth of his character from the very beginning. Our paths crossed again when we both studied at Kent State University. At the time, we were dating other people, but it became more and more clear that no one else quite fit the way we did. Before we even realized it, we had become each other’s person.When we finally started dating, we kept it a secret for six months, convinced it wouldn’t last and that we’d go back to being just friends. But as it turns out, that was just the beginning of our journey together—and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Over the years, we’ve faced life’s highs and lows together—family illnesses, the pandemic, the loss of loved ones, and Dave’s rigorous journey to becoming a pharmacist. Our engagement happened in 2021 and now he has been waiting on me to graduate anesthesia school! Through every challenge and every blessing, our love has only grown stronger. We are both dynamic individuals, each with our own unique passions and hobbies that keep us constantly learning from one another. (Dave always says he’ll never be bored with me in his life!) But beyond that, our dreams and goals have always aligned, deepening our connection and guiding us forward together. We’re endlessly grateful for the winding path that brought us back to each other, and we can’t wait for all the adventures that lie ahead. Our love story is still unfolding, and with the love and support of our family and friends, we are so excited to see what the future holds. Your love and support mean the world to us.
