We met online; many years ago unknowingly. Both of us were quite into playing video games (Halo) sometime around 2007-2009. We played regularly on a team only knowing each other by our gamer tags; BlackWidow and AlaskanHokey. Fast-forward 12 years; when we first began getting to know each other we found out we both used to play Halo. David suggested we break out the xbox and play a little. When it turned on I looked at the screen and saw his gamer tag, AlaskanHokey. I said, "No way!" I asked if he remembered playing with a team several years ago with BlackWidow...I'm BlackWidow! On our first date I suggested we ask some questions to try and get to know each other. David was more than a little nervous, paused, and asked, "Do you like hammocking?". As it turns out, I do. Many fishing, kayaking and hammocking trips later I reeled in the catch of my life.

The week after we met I had planned a trip to visit Sun Records. A recording studio established by one of my idols; Sam Philiips. In this studio Sam discovered the sounds and talents that built the foundation of Rock 'n Roll; Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, B.B. King, and many other got their start recording for Sam at Sun Records. Today visitors can tour the studio. We went and got to be in that creative space and we took our first picture together behind the exact microphone that recorded all of the greats. Fall 2020 David planned a trip for us to go back and retake that picture. After getting the studio to ourselves and retaking the photo, David asked me to marry him.
