The story of Angie and D.J is a combination of the classic “meet in a bar” with the modern “dating app” connection. The two of them began chatting on a dating app, and even decided they wanted to meet in person and scheduled a date; however, they both decided they weren’t ready to take it to that next step and the date was canceled. But as you can tell, that’s not where this story ends. Sometime later, Angie and a girlfriend were at a local brewery when her friend commented on the handsome guy across the room. Angie looks up and instantly recognizes him as the guy (you know who it is) she had been chatting with on the app and had canceled date plans. Meanwhile, D.J sitting in the same brewery heard a laugh from across the room, one he had never heard before, but somehow, he knew it was Angie, the girl he once had a plan to meet. They made eye contact, recognized each other, and did the obvious thing… D.J walked off and acted like he didn’t see her, and Angie headed to her car, naturally running into a garbage on her way out of the parking lot. (D.J, of course, witnessing the entire thing). Awhile later, Angie decided to send him a text message asking if she just saw him at said brewery. Of course, it was, and the rest is history! Their first date was scheduled a few weeks later (where they did not cancel) and for a first date, it was perfect. For seven hours, they never ran out of topics and stories to talk about. From there, the connection was undeniable. From canceled plans, to garbage cans, and many beers since then…the universe knew that Angie and D.J were meant to be!

They took a trip to Montana in early July, and it was on that trip that DJ met all of Angie’s family and knew he could easily be a part of this family. Everyone accepted him with open arms. He wasted no time once he got home to ask Angie to marry him. Angie had no idea that he had bought a ring or that he planned to propose. They have always had date nights every week, if not more than one per week. So when DJ told her he wanted to take her out-it was nothing unusual. They went to Lazy River, the place they had their very first date and a place that has always been special to them. Then to a nice dinner and as the date ended and they were on their way home DJ asked if Angie wanted to go for a walk by the river. He said it was one of his favorite spots. Dj has always loved hiking and trail walking and this was also not out of the norm. But once they got to the waters edge, and began looking at the beautiful summer sunset,DJ got down on one knee. Angie was at first concerned the old guy was injured, but soon realized he was proposing. Of course-she said yes and they began planning this day.
