We met on Saturday night May 15th, 2021 at the Republic Bar and Grill. I (Amber) was out with my friends (Catalina, Anthony, Sabrina and Denny of the bridal party) for one of the first times post-COVID. David, who is an Army officer, was on assignment to work for the Army Corps of Engineers in Sacramento and just so happened to be out that night. We crossed paths, connected, danced together at a country bar, and stayed up all night talking like old friends. That night turned into three dates the following week, and the rest is history! David and I have since then conquered physical therapy school together and have moved to Harker Heights, Texas as he finishes up his last few years in the Army.
