Quinta do Martelo
The restaurant is a must and reservations are highly recommended because it’s a small restaurant. It looks like a house and is unforgettable. Dish for table that is necessary is the braised beef in the clay pot. It is served with sweet bread and so much more! You will feel like your in Vovo’s kitchen and have the most authentic experience. We ate here the night we got engaged, and still talk about it.
Marisqueira Sabores Do Atlântico
We were told this is a great restaurant by locals. It’s we’ll known for its seafood! While you are there, ask about recommended restaurants- explore!
Tasca das Tias

O Cachalote
Heard this is a must to eat. Stop by and make reservations! Steaks are served on a stone.
Quatro Ribeiras Beach
This beach is one my favorite beaches! The azores has natural pools and this one is a tad bit more kid friendly because they made an artificial pool to accommodate the little ones too. There is a cafe for lunch, beers, and coffee. You will notice there is also no sand at the natural pools.
Praia dos Biscoitos
A popular beach that is bigger and filled with natural pools as well. There are fruit trucks selling fresh fruit everyday here, and there is a large cafe that sells freshly made lunch and beer! It’s beautiful here also.
Praia da Vitória
This sandy beach is located by the shopping area, a lot hotels, and restaurants that are open late! This is a busy area and great to spend a lot of time. Definitely recommend the food trucks if they are open around the back near the rotary. You’ll notice cafes and Ice cream everywhere.
Algar do Carvão
Take a trip to one of the island’s attractions… explore an old volcanic cave. It’s an experience!
Adega dos Sentidos
Heard great things about this winery! There are more on the island as well!

There are many island tours to choose from! We recommend searching and booking, but this one has great reviews! If you haven’t been to the island, this is a great way to spend the day.
