My Sister has always looked out for me as far back as I can remember. Always there to be a shoulder to cry on and one of my biggest fans. As I begin this new walk with David,I know she will be there to love & support the both of us! As I reflect back on our Grandparents & remember the good times, I only wish they could be here to see me get married. So it's only right that I have a person light the candle in remembrance of them, who loved my Grandparents just as much as me & who share in this special moment...even though they will physically not be at the wedding, I know they will be there in spirit.

She is a cousin but way more like a sister. I'm not sure if she remembers this but, when my Mom had her stroke she was at school in Milwaukee. She called home to her parents asking if I could stay with them that night. Yeah, I know it wasn't that big of a deal to you, but she was looking out for me even when she wasn't here. There have been many times you have looked out for me, and I appreciate everything you have done for me. I still can't believe we missed that flight to St. Louis for the convention and nobody knew LOL. One of the few people that knows how silly I really am. Love you!

We are 100% sure that Aubrey will glide down that isle with ease...but let's just hope that she will throw flowers, because she told Ashley, she only wants to throw flowers after David & I kiss!Lol

As me and David's God child, we are so happy that he can join us in this special moment...ironically enough when David asked Ky'Mani if it would be ok to be his Godfather? He replied "Yes I would like that! & then he stopped looked at me & said..."but that means you two would have to get Married"...Lol I guess he was right. It is never a dull moment with he's around, We love him to pieces & we are honored that he wants to walk in our Wedding.

Even though she is shy, her feisty personality is sure to keep anyone on their toes...Lol...she has grown to love David over the years and as her new uncle I am sure she will have him wrapped around her finger because she already knows "Uncle David will 90% of the time say yes!"...But with me saying yes is more of a 50-60% ratio...LOL

Corrine Thomas is very special to me and close to my heart. Many people don't know, that when I found my Grandmother dead at 16, Corrine took me under her wing. Her wisdom and guidance has helped me throughout my life. Her love and support is unmeasurable. Even though I relocated recently and I am unable to go to the movies or have lunch with her as often as I would like, I think about her daily and the great impact she has had on my life. I am honored that she is walking in our Wedding, her presence means the world to me and I am glad that she can share in our special moment.

We met my freshman year of college & she has looked out for me every since. At first Shalina, was somewhat skeptical and very protective of me falling in the love for the first time...When she first heard about David, her initial response was "I have to meet him Lex & see the man that is stealing your heart", so she set up a dinner. Upon arrival, I soon realized that she had recruited the whole "Central" Crew (all my friends from college) to have dinner with me and David as well & after the interrogation, It was apparent that David had passed the test!Lol...Once she saw how much he respected me, she let her guard down & has accepted/welcomed David with open arms. As a wife herself, she is often there to give me advice and guide me.

Well, it's only fitting that Harvey is the Best Man. He is part of the reason that I started dating Alexia. When I wanted to talk to her for the first time, I asked my big cousin what she I do. I remember telling him that I was nervous and didn't know what to say to her. Harvey being who he is told me, "man just call her and tell her how you feel. And if she not feeling that then forget her, and get you a (BUP) back up plan" LOL.. This was the first and only time I listened to Harvey, but I did what he said and the rest is history. Thanks Harvey you have been the same since childhood so many memories and good laughs love you man.

Over the years she has taught me to put family first and treat your niece or nephew as your own. Anytime I have ever needed her, she has came to my rescue with no questions asked. She has worked hard her whole life and showed me to be driven and never give up on my dreams. My organization and severe multitasking I definitely inherited from her, cuz she always does at least 5 things at a time...Lol. One of her many talents is being wedding coordinator, she has successfully coordinated countless weddings over the past 20yrs & we are honored that she took time out of her busy schedule to be our Wedding Coordinator!
