To our family and friends, We hope this note of ours finds you and your family in good health and spirits. We are excited to celebrate our marriage in just a month and a half; although, we know these celebrations might not be the form we envisioned months ago. Our families and friends come from a variety of lifestyles, some of our loved ones have lost their jobs, some of our loved ones are, or care for, those that are particularly vulnerable to the ongoing pandemic. Furthermore, some of our loved ones might have (understandably) anxiety about traveling to our wedding, and, for some, state and local regulations may prevent them from traveling. At this time, we are not canceling our wedding celebration; however, if we've learned anything during these past few months, the current situation is rapidly evolving. We hope to celebrate our wedding with as many guests as possible, but we certainly don't want to risk the health (or financial stability) of any of our guests. We've decided to extend our deadline to allow RSVPs to be modified until May 15th via the RSVP tab of our website. By extending this deadline, by no means are we asking you to cancel your RSVP. At this time we want you to join us in June if you are able to do so, but we want to acknowledge that your plans may change (or could change by May 15th). If your plans have not changed, you do not need to do anything. Of course, if the wedding celebration is still planned and you need to change your RSVP after May 15th, you are welcome to do so; we just need an estimate on the number of attendees by this date. We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and adhere to regulations from the state of Tennessee and the Catholic Dioceses of Knoxville, along with following suggestions from local health individuals. Further information will be provided by May 15th regarding our plans; however, in the meantime, you should feel welcome to reach out regarding any questions you have (delzinga@vols.utk.edu).
Hello! A live video feed of our wedding is found here: We will be uploading a recording of this video soon after the wedding!
Please RSVP in the RSVP tab (or, if on a mobile device, use the drop-down menu)! Thank you!
David and I always enjoyed going to the local nature center on Saturdays to walk around the trails! I volunteered with bird care here, and, after completing my duties, we would often go on a stroll through the park. We loved exploring the trails less often taken, and we even went geocaching a few times. Little did I know that one day David would propose to me here! It was such an absolutely beautiful proposal, and David hired his friend who is a photographer to hide a ways away from us to take pictures. We were able to do a photo session right afterwards too. Unfortunately, as we were leaving to go out to Olive Garden, I got a flat tire, but we were able to put the extra tire on and still go. I couldn't stop smiling the whole evening!
