In Greek Orthodox weddings, the couple has a joint "best person" known as a koubara instead of the wedding party of bridesmaids and groomsmen typical in an American wedding. The koubara is someone who is important to the couple and must be Greek Orthodox as they are an active participant in the ceremony. Adriana's niece, Arabella, will be the koubara for Adriana and David's wedding.
