On my first day of work as a physical therapist, I noticed him sitting across the breakroom, carefully unpacking his lunch. It was a normal enough sight - until I saw the round glass Tupperware he pulled out. Inside, slightly squished at the edges, was a sandwich. I couldn't help myself and teased him about it. He looked surprised at first, but then responded wittily. That moment - his amused expression, my inability to resist poking fun - was the start of something neither of us saw coming. Over time, manual therapy skill practice and late-night study/documentation sessions turned into inside jokes and effortless conversations. Before we knew it, what started with a round Tupperware and a lopsided sandwich had turned into something much more - a love that fit just right.
