Abbey and David met sophomore year of college while playing Coed soccer in Flagstaff, Arizona. They grew closer after each game celebrating "Wine Wednesdays" with friends watching The Office. The pair bonded over their competitiveness in sports and love for free t-shirts after winning championships. The two loved being able to compete together and hoped the games would last for the rest of their lives.

After David moved to Michigan to be closer to Abbey, they began to explore new places together with Sunny (the puppy). The couple found Kirk Park, a dog-friendly beach on Lake Michigan. The two loved their day trips with the pup and grew very fond of the beach. After months of hiding the ring (he didn't want to stress her out before her Step 1 exam for Medical School), David proposed on the sandy beach at Kirk Park with Sunny running wild and Lake Michigan in the background.

We would love to thank our parents for all their sacrifices throughout our lives! We appreciate everything you guys have done for us. As we set out on this new life journey, we look at you as examples of love. You have helped shape the wife/husband we want to be. This day would not be possible without all you guys have done.
