We’re getting married!

So our origin story is not the kind that starts with we just knew the moment we set eyes on one another that we would be together for the rest of our lives. We met at work, and bonded like the nerds we are over Avengers (and all the other Marvel movies) and music. Never did we think that that bond would grow into the friendship it did, and end in happily ever after. Neither of us saw it coming, in fact some of us may have even fought it lol. But thankfully God knew better. Oddly enough, neither of us stayed at that job much longer, but we are so thankful that God put us in the right place at the right time and opened our hearts to new possibilities. Those possibilities bloomed into a friendship that turned into a beautiful loving partnership. It may not have started as the perfect love story, but there could not have a better ending than getting to marry and spend a couple of forevers with our best friend. 🖤

As many of you may be aware, we have chosen to marry in an intimate ceremony until we are able to have the wedding of our dreams in a far away country, which may not happen for a couple of years. Historically our relationship has always been what we want it to be and not what tradition says it should be. So much so that we decided that first comes love, second comes the baby and the baby carriage, and then comes marriage. However, we have been doing this love thing and going together real bad for a while and we don’t want to wait for our dream wedding so we intend to make this love affair we have going on official sooner rather than later. But stay tuned for more details on when the “big day” will be. In the meantime, we also wanted to celebrate with those who have been witnesses to our love story and have encouraged us, loved us, supported us, watched us grow, prayed for us, and lifted us up through all the things. So, we are excited to have an engagement party to celebrate this next chapter before we finally tie the knot because it has been a long time coming!
