Scrolling endlessly on dating apps, in an attempt to find someone worth talking to, David saw Elizabeth's profile on Hinge. New to this app, and contemplating deleting already, David took a chance and messaged Elizabeth with a simple "Hey". Elizabeth, also discouraged with a few failed attempts at relationships through Hinge, looked at David's profile and thought he was handsome and worth giving a shot. The two messaged back and forth the rest of the day, both working night shift at this time. Eventually, David took the opportunity to ask Elizabeth on a date to see if they got as along in person as on Hinge. Exchanging numbers lead to a planned date to see Batman and have dinner at Line Ave Pie and Brew. Elizabeth was fairly nervous, until she saw David at the bottom of her steps at her house, with his blue jeans and boots on. His eyes looked at her sweetly and she was instantly calm. David was shy, so Elizabeth took the lead in conversation, but it flew like they knew each other forever. Elizabeth even went to the restroom and messaged her best friend about how cute David was. After the movie, Elizabeth let David come inside to continue the date, where they sat on the couch and talked for hours. Only talked. Her cat, Copper, even sat on David's lap and fell asleep. This was a good sign. The date lasted a total of 12 hours, it was daylight before David went home, and neither one of them realized time had gotten away from them, nor did they want the night to end. Hinge is known as the app designed to be deleted, and for this couple, after that night, they never swiped again.
