Please RSVP to the Reception by August 31st. The sooner the better.
Yes! The bride and groom have selected a place where there are campgrounds all over to have a choice of where to stay at. We ask that if you would like to stay from September 20th-22nd book your spot ASAP or stay at the free campground off HWY 88 on Scotts Lake Road. We have selected all campgrounds near Hope Valley and hotels on our travel page. If you cannot stay the whole weekend, we completely understand.
Our reception will take place near HWY 88 on Scott's Lake Road, we have the coordinates on the schedule page. The ceremony will take place in the same area.
Unfortunately, we will only serve food and drinks at the reception. If you decide to camp all weekend, please bring meals for your party. You are more then welcome to come hang out at our sites for the remainder period.
We ask you arrive to the ceremony by 2:20pm the latest as the ceremony will begin at 2:30pm. If you decide to come to just the reception, please be there by by 3:50pm to introduce the bride and groom after pictures.
Casual Attire. Please dress in a rustic theme as the wedding party will be in boots and jeans. Reception will be in the dirt so please wear shoes that will work. Please no floral print or bright colors. Women: if you wear a dress please be advised that it will be on the cold side. Men: no suits but jeans and a dress shirt work fine!
We are asking that only the people that are on the RSVP list to please come. The bride and groom would like only people they know together to be there. Due to limited space and food, if they are not on the invitation, we kindly ask you not bring an extra guest.
We ask that unless they are on the RSVP list, please leave your kids at home.
We absolutely love fur babies and welcome them to your campground of your choice. We ask you not to bring them to the wedding at all as it will be outside and we will have many people walking around. If you need to leave to go check on them at your campsite we completely understand! We our leaving our fur baby in our trailer as well! If you plan on staying at the campground that we are, please choose to leave your dog in your trailer during the entire wedding.
Thank you to DJ Menzel who has kindly agreed to serve a buffet of BBQ! This includes Yukon Gold Tri Tip, Salad, Rolls, Potatoes, BBQ Beans & Street Corn! We will have options for those who have dietary restrictions. If you do not like BBQ, you might want to consider eating before.
Yes, we will have coolers with canned beer and wine coolers. We will also have glass jars with mixed drinks. There will be bottled water and canned soda for those who don't drink. Please be responsible with this and stay sober if you need to drive. We will not have drivers to take you back as most people will be camping near by. If you plan to drink, consider staying at the campground to walk back to your spot!
We advise that you book hotels/campsites a month or two in advance as they fill up fast. Some sites are first come first serve.
Please do not take pictures or videos at the ceremony, our officiant will kindly ask you at the beginning of the ceremony to please shut off all phones and leave them in your pocket.
