FAQs

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Nope! Your presence is our present... we have more than enough 'stuff' in our life, so please don't worry about getting us a gift.

Question

How do we pay for the accommodation if we're staying on site?

Answer

We are asking people sleeping on site to provide a donation towards the accommodation. We don't want cost to be a barrier, so have suggested a range of prices (sliding scale) for each accommodation type. Please only contribute what you feel you are able to comfortably pay. You can bring a cheque or cash to the wedding, or send an email money transfer to maggie.baynham@gmail.com or davidharrisonwilliams@gmail.com. Note, most of the suggested donations are for the whole weekend (not per night) and for the whole room (so if you're sharing a cabin with many other people you could split the cost).

Question

Should we plan to bring food for the meals that aren't catered?

Answer

We will have food available for all the meals from Friday night through Sunday morning. Here is what we have planned: - Friday Dinner: Self serve taco bar, 6:30-8pm - Saturday Breakfast: Self serve continental breakfast (cereals, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, croissants, etc.), 7-10:30am - Saturday Lunch: Panago pizzas and veggies, 12-1:30pm - Saturday (Catered Wedding!) Dinner: Chicken breast with roasted veggies and rice pilaf, 6:30-8pm - Sunday (Catered) Brunch: Continental breakfast available at 8am, hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes) served from 9-10am. We will strive to accommodate all the dietary restrictions noted in the RSVPs. If you do bring your own food and store it in the fridges available, please mark it with your name, as the (unlabelled) food we provide will be available for anyone to eat.

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

Friday night, please bring your own booze - we will not be providing any drinks that evening. GLASS IS NOT PERMITTED outside the hall, so please bring cans and keep any wine or other glass bottles inside. Saturday night is an an open bar, and we will be providing beer, cider, wine, and hard bar.
