There is a line from Jane Austen’s "Persuasion" novel, “there could have been no two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison.” Welcome to the world of Kim & Dave! In 2010, Dave was working with a local marketing company. He secured a new client contract with Lincoln Square Shopping Center. The first event for LSQ was Taste of Arlington. The stage was set to meet with Kim Lawson of Theatre Arlington. They remember a dynamic business meeting inside her pink office with leopard print chairs. After the meeting, Kim told Emmy “I think this Dave guy was flirting with me!” Umm…He was not. Three years later, Kim walked into the lobby of 3Di Sign + Design on Theatre business. Dave welcomed the rain-soaked Kim and immediately recognized her eyes. Kim didn’t recognize Dave at that point but Dave’s eyes lit up for her. In just a few minutes of conversation and banter, lightning struck these two hearts simultaneously. Time stood still as he asked her out for a picnic soon. Back in her minivan, Kim noticed a Facebook friend request from Dave and only then realized he was the 2010 Dave…only cuter! 10 days later with no picnic, Kim reached out to Dave in the middle of a playoff loss by her beloved Texas Rangers. Yes, she did invite herself over! Kim arrived at Dave’s place with a bottle of wine, some Rangers tears and a heart full of hope that lightning would strike them again...it did! That picnic finally occurred on their Playa del Carmen honeymoon in September 2017. The last four years have been a blur of romantic moments, late night memories and personal growth. Their “love like no other” has been built on the foundation of romance, honesty and communication. The words from John Legend’s “All of Me Loves All of You” could not be any truer and make a perfect theme song – Dave is “crazy” and Kim is “out of her mind.”This party is a celebration of Mr. & Mrs. Turner…it's also a spotlight on the amazing cast of characters in the production of Kim & Dave!
