Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) & Estes Park
Amazing hikes, wildlife and nature! ~1.5-2 hours from Denver. You'll need to reserve a time to enter & will need to pay a fee for entering, unless you have a national park pass! Make sure to have it with you. If you're not able to get into RMNP, Estes Park is close by! Great hiking, cute town AND the location of the Stanley Hotel where Stephen King got his inspiration for the movie "The Shining". SPOOKY!
Cañon City
~2 hours from Denver: The Royal Gorge Train is a MUST and Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is an awesome place for adventure seekers!
Crested Butte
~4 hours from Denver. Awesome mountain town with great hiking, fishing, and any other mountain activity you can think of!
Steamboat Springs
Hometown of Smartwool <3 3 hours from Denver: One of our absolute favorite mountain towns. Great for all of the amazing mountain adventures! Check out E3 Steakhouse for their french dip sandwich during happy hour and don't forget to take a dip in Strawberry Hot Springs (book a ticket on the shuttle). It's EPIC!
Durango & Silverton
~6 hours from Denver: Such an amazing town! One of our favorites. Make sure to catch a show with the D'Wranglers if they are in town (cowboy band and a show!) and take the train to Silverton (old mining town). So much great hiking and an amazing place!
