What should I wear?

Answer

Depending on the weather, we are anticipating an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by an indoor reception. You may wish to consider layers so that you are comfortable in both settings. We're not sticklers about a particular dress code, so feel free to use your best judgment. It's generally considered bad form to wear a bridal gown if you're not the bride.

What is the weather like in Maine in September?

Answer

New England weather can be quite variable, and there is often a breeze along the coast. Late September regularly features warm days and cool nights.

Should I bring my kids?

Due to space constraints at the venue, we will be hosting an adults-only wedding.

Is it easy to get an Uber / Lyft in the area?

Answer

Wait times can be quite long for Uber and Lyft (if any are available). Several taxi companies serve the York area including Annie's Taxi (603.531.9955) and Abby's Cab (603.431.4555).

Is there parking at the hotel / venue?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at Union Bluff. Both for those staying at the hotel and for those who are driving up just for the day, a valet will be waiting in front of the venue to assist you.

Will Bailey be participating in the ceremony?

Answer

No. She cannot be trusted to refrain from running away with the rings.

Should the U.S. get rid of the penny?

Answer

Absolutely. It costs roughly 2.7 cents to produce each penny, and the U.S. spends about $100M more to produce pennies in a year than they're actually worth (not to mention the environmental impacts from mining, minting, and transporting them). As cash-based transactions continue to decline, keeping the penny simply makes no sense.
