Our story began in a way neither of us expected. A few years ago, after a long winter in Rochester, Dave flew to Tulsa to visit some family friends. One afternoon, they decided to spend the day at Philbrook. Across town, Brenda and her sisters had the exact same idea. Then, among the gardens, on the same afternoon, our paths finally crossed. Leave a few minutes earlier or later, and we might have missed each other completely. We started talking and never really stopped. By the end of the day, Dave had Brenda's number. He'd come to Tulsa for a relaxing visit and left with a lot more reasons to come back. What started as a simple connection slowly turned into something much more meaningful. At first, we were just two people getting to know each other. But the texts turned into late-night calls, the calls turned into our first trips together, and with every conversation, laugh, and shared moment, we realized there was something special between us. We like to think Philbrook was simply keeping an appointment made long before we knew about it. What felt like an ordinary afternoon became the beginning of a beautiful journey. This November, we're returning to Tulsa to say "I do," just a few miles from where it all began, and we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most.
