We are hoping for a fun weekend with everyone at our venue location, The Lodge at Marconi. There are some wonderful rooms on property and we have a room block which we think has a reasonable price and can be extended. Feel free to contact us if the room block appears to be unavailable or if you wish to stay longer. We highly encourage everyone to stay at the venue or nearby for Saturday night. This is due to the rural location and the windy roads.
The best way to get to the Lodge at Marconi in Marshall is to fly into a major airport and then drive to the hotel. The airports in the San Francisco Bay Area including San Francisco International (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) are both about a 90 minute drive. The Sacramento airport (SAC) is a two hour drive away. The Sonoma airport is the closest, although it is a smaller airport, and is around an hour away. There will be many people flying in around the same time, and if you are in need of a ride from the airport we can help coordinate it.
We are planning a welcome party the night of Friday, November 29th, and as such are encouraging everyone to come Friday if you can. The hotel's normal check-in time is 3:00 PM, but if you call ahead you may be able to arrange for an early check-in time. If you arrive on Saturday, November 30th, please arrive before 3 PM as the ceremony starts at 3:30 PM. Also, Dave and April will be on site Thursday night and hosting a casual Thanksgiving dinner and all are welcome. If you are interested please let us know.
For the ceremony day, we recommend Semi-Formal attire. If you're open to dress in our color palette, we are leaning into bright jewel tones such as cobalt blue, mustard, magenta, and emerald. The ceremony site is outdoors on a grassy field. You will need to walk to the ceremony site and to the reception on grass and dirt, so please be mindful of your shoe choice.
Thank you for asking! We live in a small one bedroom apartment and don't have a lot of room and do not need any new things. If you would like to give us a gift, we kindly ask for a cash gift instead, which you can do electronically via our registry or give us a card in person.

Unless your child was specifically included on the invitation, they are not invited. This is due to space restrictions.
Please leave your pet at home. If you have a service animal that you need to bring with you please let us know ahead of time.
Our dinner will be served family style. There will be plenty of options for vegetarian and gluten-free needs. If you have other needs or allergies, please let us know.
The wedding ceremony is slated to be outdoors on top of a hill for Saturday afternoon. The cocktail hour will be outdoors, with an indoor reception to follow. If there is inclement weather, the wedding ceremony will be moved indoors as needed.
The hotel property is walkable. The wedding ceremony is on Tower Hill which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and the reception is at Buck Hall which is about a 7 minute walk from the ceremony site. There is a golf cart that attendants will be able to use to help guests with mobility limitations.

The hotel has plenty of parking for all guests. You will be able to leave your vehicle at the hotel and walk to all events.
