We met on facebook dating, we talked for a week or so before Dave decided to ask Aly out to a drink at On Tap in Essex, VT. When they arrived, they discovered On Tap was closed. Dave was so embarrassed, he decided on a whim to go to Mcguillicudys across the street. Dave talked and talked while Aly was too nervous to speak much. Dave was worried she was uninterested. On the way back to the cars, holding hands, Dave pulled Aly around into his arms and kissed her. From that point on, the two kept seeing each other almost everyday and the rest is history.

It had been talked about a ring on Alys finger, and it was nothing more than what Dave wanted. In April 2023, Dave ventured out with his sister, Cathie, and mother, Jeanne, to After Midnight Jewelers and found the perfect ring. Aly knew of the idea but had no idea its look or when it was going to happen. After a month, Dave got the ring but had a grand plan for how he was going to propose. On 5/27/23, Dave took Aly out for a couples photoshoot which she thought was her idea. He set it up, knelt down and said "Will you marry me?" as Aly started tearing up and covered her mouth in excitement- Dave lost his words for his speech. After the rest of the photoshoot, I surprised Aly with a family party at her parents house to celebrate the engagement. She hates surprises but loved that day indeed.
