We first met through mutual friends and coworkers, crossing paths a few times within the same circle. It wasn’t until New Year’s Eve that David finally built up the courage to ask Melissa for her number. From that night on, we couldn’t stop talking. Our first date was at the ice skating rink, where we laughed nonstop, shared stories, and quickly realized we had found something special. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Fast forward seven years, and we celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Orlando, Florida. After a few days of roller coasters and beer at Universal Studios, David had something special planned. He rented a car so we could drive out to the beach, where he intended to propose. The only problem? He asked Melissa to navigate… and if you know Melissa, you know how this ends. Instead of taking us to the planned beach, she confidently led us to a completely different one. But the “wrong” beach ended up being perfect. With the waves crashing behind us, David got down on one knee and popped the question. Melissa said yes (of course!), officially beginning the next chapter of our adventure.
