We met on an online dating website during our junior year of high school—two kids living two hours apart, him in Wichita and me in Owasso. We talked for months before I finally drove to Kansas to spend the day with him. By the end of dinner, he asked me to be his girlfriend…the very same day we met in person. We spent our weekends driving back and forth until college, where life surprised us by placing us directly across the hall from each other. We grew up together through late-night studying, new routines, and shared milestones. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we added our sweet dog, Peanut, to our little family. After graduation, we packed up and moved to Oklahoma City—me starting grad school, him starting work, both of us building a home together. From long-distance teenagers to building a life side by side, we’ve loved every chapter. And now, we can’t wait for the next one.
