Our story began with 2 right swipes! We were surprised to learn we had a mutual friend in common! Naturally, Shaun struck up the conversation first and asked how I knew “said person”. After chatting about how we both knew them and mingling about how strange online dating was and asking ourselves, is this really how people meet nowadays? We decide to give it a try. Although we were both cautious and hesitant, we decided to meet for a drink at a local brewery (naturally we were both nervous and too afraid to make it a dinner date!) That first date quickly led to late night dinners, outdoor adventures and of course if anyone knows Shaun, completing home projects. He quickly had me wheelbarrowing 10 yards of topsoil, raking/leveling it off, planting grass seed and painting. If that wasn’t enough to scare me off I then became the “helper” of cutting the grass with scissors (around the shed), weed whacking, pressure washing the house, washing the lawnmower (tire shine and all) and climbing up the ladder to the second story to wipe the bird poop off the siding. The list goes on but you get the point 😉 I think by then I had passed all of Shaun’s “tests”. And I’d like to add he surely fit mine, what more could I ask for.. he was organized to the tee, loved to keep things clean, enjoyed spending time with family and was always ready for the next adventure. He continues to effortlessly put a smile on my face (daily!), has a heart of gold and without hesitation helps anyone and everyone. We cannot wait to start this next chapter of adventures together.
