If traveling to the lake from either Chicago or Milwaukee, we recommend booking a car service or renting a car. Having a rental will be helpful due to limited Uber/Lyft availability in the area.
Black tie includes long gowns for ladies and tuxedos for men. If you don’t own a tuxedo, The Black Tie or Generation Tux are great rental options.
Unless specified, your invitation is meant for just yourself. If offered a plus one or your children are invited to attend the weekend events, you will find [& Guest] or [& Family] on your invitation.
The wedding ceremony and reception will take place primarily in grassy, outdoor areas. Consider choosing shoes accordingly.
The ceremony will begin at 4pm sharp. At this time, Yerkes entrance gates will close. If you arrive late, you will not be granted access until after the ceremony concludes.
If you plan to drive to Yerkes, there is a parking lot directly next to the observatory. We will provide transportation via Jones Transportation. Jones Transportation will pick up guests from both The Geneva Inn and Lake Lawn at 3:15 pm. Additionally, Uber/Lyft is available, but please plan accordingly due to very limited availability in the area.
