The History of the Pittsburgh Cookie Table
The origins of the Pittsburgh Cookie Table are often debated, but it certainly grew in popularity during the Great Depression. Couples simply couldn't afford a wedding cake and so their close friends and family would bake cookies instead, using favorite family recipes. Today the Pittsburgh Cookie Table is such a strong tradition that the wedding day just wouldn't be complete without it!
