I first started at Tyler Hill Camp in 2005 and it wasn't until 2011, when I first heard of Jesse Vogel when he came as a Teen (way too late in my opinion). But, I didn't really give him a chance to be my friend until 2015 when we were both counselors for the same division of girls and boys. We immediately clicked. We continued to spend every summer together with all of our friends, as friends. Our friendship grew and we were there for each other for all of our big moments. Jesse built relationships with my friends and family and we were finding ourselves spending more time with each other, still as friends. It wasn't until July 2023 when Jesse planned a dinner with me that I later learned was our first date! He shared his feelings and I knew right away that I had to give this relationship the chance it deserved! Jesse was my best friend who I can now call my fiancé!

After years at another sleep away camp, I decided to switch and my first summer at Tyler Hill Camp was in 2011. Little did I know just how much that one decision would change the course of my life.   To be honest — I don’t remember the first time I actually saw Sara (formerly known as Dauber). She was like a mythical figure at camp — someone you heard stories about but rarely, if ever, saw in real life.   After taking a summer off, I went back in 2015 on a mission: I had to befriend The Sara Dauber. Slowly but surely, Sara became my best friend. Not a day went by where we didn’t check in with each other.   As my bond with Sara grew, so did my connection to the people closest to her. Scarlett went through a phase where she wouldn’t even look at me — but still asked if I was "Auntie’s boyfriend.” Much to her dismay, I wasn’t. Mindy would ask when I was finally going to date her sister, Michael once offered me a Carvel franchise for Sara and to Richard, I was the little friend who went to law school (I still might be).   But over time, things shifted and feelings developed. After watching the show 'Platonic', Sara would jokingly say to me that we might not always be in each other’s lives, that's when I decided to take a leap of faith in July of 2023. Honestly, I was more nervous then, than I was when I asked her to marry me. But with a little help from Fallon and Mindy, Sara gave me the chance of a lifetime.   My best friend became my girlfriend… who is now my fiancée… and soon, she’ll be my wife.
