Hannah and Tyler first crossed paths in Nashville, Tennessee in the spring of 2013. Hannah went to visit a friend at Vanderbilt Law School where she met her friend’s law school classmate, Tyler. Hannah and Tyler hit it off that weekend and continued to talk, despite the distance. In the following months, the two would go on to exchange love letters, playlists of their favorite songs, and even agreed to send each other cheesy souvenirs from their respective cities. When Hannah decided to come back down to Nashville that summer for a music festival, it was only fair that Tyler agreed to return the favor and visit Hannah in New York. Knowing he had something special, Tyler interviewed with New York law firms during his visit and eventually accepted a job for the following summer. Despite the distance during law school, Hannah and Tyler's love continued to grow, and the rest is history.
As many of you know, Tyler has done a great deal of traveling for work. On Monday, January 29, 2018 Tyler packed his bags and departed for the airport, as normal. He sent his customary text to let Hannah know that he had landed safely in Germany, and told her he couldn’t wait to see her at the end of the week. Little did Hannah know, Tyler hadn’t left the country at all, instead spending the night on his friend's couch. The following day, nearing dismissal time at school, Hannah’s co-worker asked her to come to the office to speak with someone. Hannah’s level of frustration quickly rose as she was in the middle of getting 30 children packed up and ready to go outside for dismissal. However, when Hannah stepped out into the hallway, she saw Tyler (Wait?! Wasn't he in Germany?!), her parents, and her two best friends there to capture the special moment. Tyler got down on one knee, completely forgot what he was going to say, and Hannah asked if the whole thing was a joke. The two quickly got over their nerves, Tyler proposed, and Hannah said yes! From that day forward, Hannah’s class of third graders would refer to the occasion as the day Ms. Marlow got "married" in the hallway.
