It all happened at thee FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY. A storm had just came through knocked out all the power on campus in every building but one…Ohio Hall, the honors dorm. The only build on campus that had wifi and electricity. When I woke up that morning I had no idea that I would meet the love of my life that night. We (my roommates and myself) walked over to Ohio hall because Mekayla (my roommate at the time) had a cousin who stayed there and invited us to come there vs staying in our building in complete darkness. That cousin turned out to be Jaylan. When we got there we all talked as a group his friends and mine the night was filled with laughs but Jaylan never spoke to me directly. After a few hours had passed he drove us back to our dorm. Later that night he asked Mekayla for my number and then texted me to ask me on a date and after that day the rest was history we spent every single day with each other. 🥹💕
