Two Hearts, One Love: The Williams Wedding

At the peak of Covid and both DaShawn and Exdol were going through a lot personally. Neither was interested in a relationship. Exdol was navigating single fatherhood and working in a high stress job during the pandemic. DaShawn was undergoing breast cancer treatment. The two met on Facebook through a mutual friend. More specifically, they met arguing on FB, in a mutual friend’s comments. The argument was over a police involved shooting and related social justice issues. Exdol called DaShawn a dumb activist and DaShawn called Exdol a dirty cop. A love story! They continued this public, cat and mouse, social media game for weeks, until Exdol slid in her DMs. On June 27th, 2020, the two met at nacho mamas in Towson, for their first date. They sat there talking from 7 pm until 11 pm, when the place closed. After the restaurant closed, Exdol walked her to her car, where they continued talking until 2 am, when the date finally ended. The next morning, Exdol visited her house at 9 am and they have been inseparable everyday since. The connection and commitment was strong and immediate. They knew from the start that they were one another’s forever person! Their journey has included many twists and turns and some ups and downs but nothing stronger than the love they have for one another.
