Travel Options

There are two main ways to get to the town of Onno, where most guests will be staying (close to the wedding venue): - Rental Car from either Milan Malpensa (MXP) or Linate Airport. Taxis and private cars are also available from the airport. - Train from Malpensa Airport (MXP) or Milano Centrale (the main train station in Milan) to the town of Lecco, then a taxi ride to Onno

Flight

Milano Malpensa Airport

🛫 Nearest Airports Milan Malpensa (MXP) – ~1 hour drive to Onno Milan Linate (LIN) – ~50 min drive to Onno Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) – ~1.5 hours We recommend flying into Malpensa (MXP) for the most direct route.

Train

MXP - Centrale Milano - Lecco

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Centrale Milano Train Station: The travel time from MXP to Centrale Milano is approximately 2 hours. You will need to make a train change at Centrale Milano. Centrale Milano Train Station to Lecco Train Station: The travel time from Centrale Milano to Lecco is approximately 40-60 minutes. Lecco Train Station to Onno / Vassena: Lecco is your last train stop. You can take a local taxi from Lecco to Onno / Vassena or to whichever accommodation you have chosen. Wedding Venue - Ristorante La Madonnina di Barni

The venue for the wedding is located at: Via per la Madonnina, 22030 Barni CO, Italy. We plan on coordinating transportation to and from the venue on 9/9 to apartments and Villas in the town of Onno nearby! More details on shuttles and parking to come.

Where is everyone staying?

For ease of travel, we have created a google spreadsheet that lists already reserved locations as well as currently available accommodations. Please refer to this spreadsheet to see which guests have confirmed their stay as well as a range of options for you to choose your own booking. Please let us know your booking information if you have chosen any of the locations from the list. If you are unsure whether your accommodation has been arranged for you, please reach out to Dasha to confirm. Below are a few of the recommended accommodations from the spreadsheet that friends and family have already reserved. There are still available apartments within these options; however, there are also many additional recommended accommodations within Onno and Vassena in the spreadsheet with a wide range of costs. If you choose to seek out your own accommodations outside of these recommendations, please keep in mind we are providing transportation only from Onno to the venue and back.

Stay Option 1: Bellagio Village Residence

Despite the misleading name, this group of villas and apartments are in the town of Onno, not Bellagio. They are located 20 minutes from the Wedding venue. We've made some refundable reservations from 9/8 to 9/12 for the beautiful villas and apartments here right by the lake (250-300 euro/night/room). These residences are walking distance to the other recommended Option 2, which is the Residence Bellagio Wild Flowers (200-250 euro/night/bed) and Option 3 - Misc Onno Apartments. The prices go up for non-refundable reservations. We anticipate a lot of Sameer's family to be here. Stay Option 3: La Spiaggia

Hotel

Hotel Promessi Sposi, Malgrate

Onno does not have hotels, so we suggest people coordinate with us to join in villas and apartments; however, if you’re more comfortable with hotels, Lecco has some nice ones on the lake but almost 40 minutes away from the venue and apx. 25 minutes drive from where we think most people will be staying in Onno. This is one of them but rooms are going fast.
