We’re getting married!

One beautiful Friday night in the small town of Ellington, we met each other at The Hidden Still having drinks with some friends. Once I laid eyes on Doug and saw his warm smile and heard his friendly laugh, I knew he was the one. The feeling of love was also in Doug’s heart when he met me that night. He felt the kindness in my heart and saw how caring I was. Over the next few years, we texted a here and there, saw each other a few times, and went on a few dates. It wasn’t until September 15, 2018, the night of the Four Town Fair, where we both decided we wanted to be together. I moved in with him shortly after to our warm, cozy home in Ellington, CT. Here we have had lots of laughs and smiles. Also, some tears and sick days. But after those days of sickness and days health and happiness, we knew that we could get through anything together. The love between us has only grown since that night at the Still and will continue growing for as long as we live.

My bestfriend asked me to marry him, and I said YES! Now we are on to the next chapter.
