Maid of Honor
I first met Lisa at youth group. Though, everything changed as we went on a weeklong trip. There I found someone who matched my crazy and goofiness. More than that, Lisa and I became good friends as we shared a deep love for the Lord and most conversations quickly turned to our faith, growing closer to our Savior. After college, our seasons of preparing for missions overlapped and we were able to journey that together. As Lisa went to Tokyo and I to India, we were on each other's prayer teams, a constant voice and ear for life on the mission field. Watching her relationship with Daryl grow has been an honor to be a part of. Now she has someone else to try to baptize while sitting on the lake dock; that story another day. What a privilege to be a part of their celebratory wedding day!
Best Man
Daryl and I met when we were both students at SPU. After graduation I was blessed to return to work with him as a full-time staff member at SPU. It was then that he extended the invitation for me to join a group of our college friends at their weekly Battlestar Galactica game night. Little did I know how many hours of strategy, betrayal and camaraderie would ensue from his simple invitation. Looking back on all the time I've know him, Daryl has always shown himself as a genuine and caring friend; constantly looking for ways he can serve others, and never fading in his (sometimes overly) optimistic nature. It's been a pleasure to get to know Lisa and watch the two of them grow closer together and to see all the ways they complement each other. Super looking forward to the big day!

I first met Lisa during my Freshman year at William Jewell College. I was immediately drawn to her kindness, heart for service and sense of fun. We quickly became inseparable and I cannot imagine my college experience without her. We were members of Zeta Tau Alpha together and shared a room in the sorority hall. Throughout the time I have known Lisa and been fortunate enough to call her one of my closest friends, we have shared countless inside jokes, supported each other through both joys and struggles and cheered each other on as we pursued life goals. It is an honor to be a part of Daryl and Lisa’s wedding day and it has been such a privilege to see their love and commitment for each other!

Daryl and I first met at a Seattle interchurch fellowship. We initially bonded over our love for God, geeky interests and our passion for board games. Throughout all the wins and losses, we've been able to grow our friendship over the past few years, by not only having fun, but through our intentional sharing and desire to sharpen one another. Daryl and I also had the opportunity to work together at Microsoft where our frequent bi-weekly lunches were great times to keep each other accountable through prayer. It was over lunch at Microsoft, when I first found out that Daryl started dating Lisa. It's been a blessing being a part of this amazing journey, which started off as long distance half-way around the globe, to God perfectly orchestrating their story to soon be married in Seattle!
Brother of the Bride
Lisa is my older sister, so I have always known her. While we were a typical brother and sister pair that fought, we also have lots of memories playing legos, building bicycle ramps and having Friday movie nights. The two of us spent a lot of time together growing up. Though Lisa went to college and then off to Japan, we've been able to stay in touch and connect over holidays together as a family. I'm so happy to be part of Daryl and Lisa's big day! It has been fun having a new addition to family and I'm looking forward to more time with Daryl.

Bridesmaid
When I first met Lisa at my church, I felt so comfortable with her. So, when Lisa came back to Tokyo after a while, I was excited to spend more time with and get to know her. It didn’t take long to decide to ask her to be my roommate. Such a privilege to be able to live with her and I cherish the time a lot. To see how she serves and seeks the Lord and was so encouraging to people, taught me a lot. Besides that, one of the biggest dreams I had been praying for was to have an English-speaking roommate. So, she is super special to me as God’s answer to my prayer! I am very excited to see how God leads Lisa and Daryl and am delighted to be a part of it even though we live far apart. Can’t express enough how I am pleased to attend her big day not only as a guest but as a bridesmaid!

Daryl and I met at the church he and his family grew up in. I was a new Christian after graduating college and there was a lot I wanted to learn and discover about God and my faith. Daryl was there to help me understand God’s love and share his passion of worship music with me. Daryl and I also led our church youth group together, which continued to grow our friendship. Daryl also introduced me to modern tabletop games, and I have been hooked ever since. Our engineering and over-analytical minds make for great board game matches, which we continue to do on a regular basis. I am thrilled for Daryl and Lisa, as they begin their journey together. They are both full of love, commitment and silliness. So glad to be sharing life with these special people!
