When I met Darryl in 2020, I did not know my life would change for the better. I thought I was just going on another first date, but turns out that was my last first date. Our connection grew until it was undeniable that we were meant for each other. As our lives continued to intertwine from theme park memberships to living together, we knew it was time to embark on the journey of forever. Darryl proposed on November 14, 2025 where he planned an intimate moment for us then a celebration with our Tampa friends after. I am excited to be in my fiancé era and plan the wedding that will celebrate the love we have for each other.

Meeting Tierra was one of my greatest honors. It’s very rare that you meet someone who create both a welcoming and loving energy from the beginning. She’s full of loyalty, honesty, banter, selflessness, and a pure amount of love that makes you realize that you would not want to go a day without this woman. For meeting in 2020 and having bottomless mimosas to getting on one knee in 2025 I am blessed to have shared those five years with her. I thank God every day for what he has given us. On July 6, 1996 after 15 hours of labor, I was blessed to deliver a beautiful baby boy. His father and I were very excited and we named him Darryl Kevin Walker II after his father, but we call him DK. When they first handed him to me his father and I smiled. Our family was now completed. We had a daughter and now a son DK was his father’s mini-me. He was a cute bundle of joy that grew up to be a handsome, intelligent man. I know his father is looking down with a big smile. I’m so proud of my son Darryl Kevin Walker II and will always love him to infinity and beyond.

I first met my dear brother, Darryl II in 1996 after begging our parents for a sibling for what seemed like forever as a young child. Hi, I am Destyni. Tierra is my best friend, but most people don’t even realize we’re “only” friends. We’ve always called each other sisters, and after meeting in preschool and sharing over two decades of life together, that’s exactly what she is to me. I love her deeply and endlessly, and it means the world to stand beside her on such a special day as she starts this next chapter. We met in 2016 at Starbucks back when I just moved to the city and was struggling to make friends. Tierra would come in and order a Trenta black iced tea with 12 pumps of simple syrup. I remember looking at her like she was was crazy. We saw each other more when I showed interest in one of her friends and although it didn’t work out we remained friends. Then I moved away to Europe. We never lost touch, no matter the distance. My kids absolutely love having Tierra as their auntie. I’m so happy Tierra found the love she always talked about, because she truly deserve the world and everything it has to offer. And honestly, I don’t think there could be a more perfect man for Tierra than Darryl (she’s feisty and you know it). Love you guys, and I can’t wait for this next adventure!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing my cousin DK my entire life, starting back in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From childhood memories of us hanging out at our grandma's house during summers. To him attending Oklahoma State, I won't hold that against him....Go Red Raiders! After college, he made the move to Florida and stayed with us. He was the best roommate, even earning the nickname Sweet Baby Angel DK from my wife. It was here in Florida that he found not just a new home, but also the love of his life, and I couldn’t be happier that this chapter of his story led him to Tierra. Watching their relationship grow has been incredibly special, and I’m honored to celebrate this amazing moment with them.
