Sonia's Perspective: Darryl & I met at work and in one of my most difficult times ever. I was grieving my grandmother and preparing for my daughter’s Quinceanera. Months before I found myself interested in Darryl and he was definitely interested in me we were interested in each other lol. We didn't approach each other till December due to my grandmother being at the end of her journey called life. When May came around of 2022, we would run into each other. I started to notice Darryl was coming a little early for lunch, so I decided to come earlier to work also and approached him and we laughed. We ended up in the school building. I went to the cafeteria asking for milk for my coffee. I didn't want that milk for my coffee, I wanted to see if he would muster up the courage to ask me out. When I started walking down the hallway, he came and asked if I wanted to have dinner with him. I then turned around and said "WHO ME" lol the rest was history after that. We have had our laughs, our cries, our ups and downs. But just when I thought I hit rock bottom by losing the one person I loved God sent me another one to comfort me. Someone I truly love, care for and someone I admire. My person I get to cry with from laughing too hard, and someone who holds me when life knocks me down. Sometimes we don't know why but God sends us angels. God created two imperfect souls to become ONE! Darryl’s Perspective: Sonia was my love before she knew I existed. I wasn’t looking for a partner at the time,when I first saw her I was definitely interested in getting to know her as a friend. I would see her at work and rush to the door to open it up for her and I could tell she liked it because as the days went on she would be at work way earlier than me lol. We had the best conversation two people can have. I kept her laughing and she made me laugh also with her wittiness and come backs to the jokes we shared. Then I said to myself today is the day I’m going to ask her out on a date. We was having our daily conversation and was about to depart from one another and I ask “Will you go out to dinner with me” and she said, “Who Me”! and I said it’s no one else out here but us, so yes you 🤦🏽‍♂️ And that’s where our journey began and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. I’m ready to take on the world with you Sonia!
