Darryl and Katie first met through mutual friends back in 2017 either at a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game or a 13 Ugly Men Halloween party (not exactly sure which one!) and ended up reconnecting in 2020 during the COVID slowdown. Darryl invited Katie out for drinks at a wine bar called Sips in Safety Harbor, to which Katie agreed as she wanted to expand her horizons. They hit it off immediately and have been together ever since ✨ Flash forward to September 26, 2026, Darryl got down on one knee during a trip to Salem, Massachusetts and asked Katie if she would like “to do this together forever”, to which Katie responded “of course!” Katie & Darryl will be eloping in the mountains for a private exchanging of vows on their favorite holiday, Halloween, in 2026. The following weekend they will have their wedding reception to celebrate with family and friends on Nov 7th!
