Question

Travel Recommendations (FOR OUR INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY)

Answer

Unfortunately there is no direct flight from Korea to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) 😢, but you will find many options to lay over briefly in San Francisco (SFO) or Los Angeles (LAX). Trip time from LAX to PVR is about 3 hours, so it's the perfect time to have a little west coast vacation (spending a couple days in LA or SF) before flying to Puerto Vallarta or vice versa! There are direct flights from Korea to Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO). We recommend booking a direct flight to LAX or SFO, hanging out for a day or two, and flying down to Puerto Vallarta from there (~3hr flight from LAX, ~3.5hr flight from SFO). We have great recommendations of potential trip plans - if interested, let us know!

Question

Travel recommendations (Mexico)

Answer

Many small towns near Puerto Vallarta have histories that span hundreds of years and have played crucial roles in shaping Mexico's cultural identity. This area was actually developed during colonial times which means there are no Aztec or Mayan ruins close to Puerto Vallarta. However, there are a lot of cultural and historical places to visit nearby. San Sebastián del Oeste, Talpa, and Mascota are great examples of colonial architecture located near Puerto Vallarta.
