First: I Do. Then: Cake

Darrin was relaxing at home one night when he decided to call Kayla Bell to see what his friend was doing. He decided to invite himself to join her after finding out she was out with friends. Samantha was one of Kayla's friends Darrin would meet that night. Both Darrin and Samantha would text Kayla the next day asking about the other. It would take a few months until we started dating, but our fate was sealed that February night.

Buying a home is a stressful time. Add finding a ring and proposing onto that, and it is downright insane. That's where Darrin comes in. We signed the documents on our first home together on the morning of July 31, 2019. We drove separately because Darrin had an errand to run after the meeting. Little did Samantha know that the errand was to finally get the ring from the jeweler. We were settling down after a day of moving, unpacking, sweating and a near-fainting. The water had not been turned on, the internet company did not show and Belle and Lillie were all kinds of anxious. It had been a long day. A long, stressful day. But this was the day Darrin had been planning to propose for almost a year. He knew that the day he and Samantha bought a house together was the perfect day to propose. He convinced the now maid-of-honor, Chelsea Lowe, to take Samantha out to relieve some stress. While they were getting their nails done, he set up the guest room to propose. Sticky notes from all of our important dates were posted all over the walls. Pink rose petals covered the floor. And there Darrin kneeled in the middle of the floor to ask Samantha the most important question of her life: "Will you marry me?"
