FAQs

The Wedding Website of Darrien Twomley and Macy Thornton
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than April 20, 2026.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite our guests to dress in cocktail or garden-inspired attire. Cocktail attire can include semi-formal looks such as midi or knee-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or suits with dress shirts and slacks or khakis (ties optional). For garden attire, lighter fabrics, soft colors, and floral or seasonal prints are encouraged to complement the outdoor celebration. Much of the venue is grassy, so we recommend block heels, wedges, flats, or dressy loafers for comfort and ease. Above all, wear something that makes you feel ready to celebrate—we can’t wait to see you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. Please arrive no later than 5:15 PM, so you have enough time to park and walk across a grassy field to the ceremony location.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotels near the venue are limited, but South Hill offers several great options. We have linked several hotel options under the "Travel" heading. There are also nearby Airbnb rentals in Lunenburg, VA, available if you prefer.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

As the venue is located in a rural area, rideshare services may be limited or unavailable. We recommend renting a car for travel to and from the airport and venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The venue will guide guests to the designated parking area. It is a short walk across a field to the ceremony and reception area, and a golf cart will be available for anyone who may need assistance.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To support our goal of an intimate celebration, we kindly ask that only the children listed on the invitation join us. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation lists a guest, that means you're welcome to bring a date. If it doesn't, we unfortunately aren't able to accommodate additional guests due to space limitations. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!
